High Detail Scenery for Central, South America, and Africa?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I would like to add some airport scenery for Mexico, Central America, South America and Africa, as I never seem to fly there. Could I please get some recommendations of detailed, high resolution scenery for each of those regions? Doesn't matter if its payware or freeware. I do see options on SimMarket, but am not familiar with a lot of these developers.

For Central/South America, Orbx OpenLC South America + a few of my favorites:

Flightbeam SEQM (Quito, Ecuador)
LatinVFR SCEL (Santiago de Chile)
FSimScenery MPTO (Panama)
FSimScenery MMUN (Cancun, Mexico)
Tropicalsim SBGR (Sao Paolo, Brazil)

For Africa, Orbx OpenLC Africa +

FSDG GOBD (Dakar, Senegal)
FSDG HKJK (Nairobi, Kenya)
Aerosoft HTKJ (Kilimanjaro, Tanzania)
FSDG FACT (Cape Town, South Africa)
FSDG FYWB (Walvis Bay, Namibia)

For some good SA freeware scenery go here. https://3dmodelbrasil.com/2018/09/13/brasil/

They have other countries too. Warning this is one of those sites that will annoy you with a few ads etc. before you download your scenery. Pay attention to what download button you hit. They are very good sceneries though.

Intel I7 6700k @ 4ghz, nVidia 3070ti 8gb, 16 gb ddr4 @ 1066mhz,  500 ssd, 2tb hdd, 2tb ssd, ASUS z170-E mb, Samsung 24" @ 1920x1080, P3D 5.4, MSFS

There are also the sceneries from Paulo Ricardo. Detailed and easy on system load.

Rio de Janeiro is very good, and there is also Sao Paolo (a bit less good than Rio), Fortalezza (good) and others.

Even if sceneries are not said to be compatible with P3DV5 on Simmarket, Paulo Ricardo can be directly contacted (mail address given on the Simmarket page) and he might give the extra files necessary for compatibility.

Cheers

+1 for Flightbeam SEQM. Bought it after the recommendation and it is absolutely beautiful. I also got Orbx Africa to go with Dakar. Next, I would like to pick up something in Brazil, so I will check out your suggestions. Thanks!

+1 for SEQM.

Also the other one I have my eye on that looks pretty decent quality and supported in v5 is FMMI (Madagascar) by South World Scene. The screenshots look promising. This can be found at Simmarket for a very reasonable price.
