The 737-200 is better than ever with the "Total Overhaul" mod. L1011 still uses Paul's Gauge (with allowances for the change in folder names in P3D). For the sake of completeness, I managed to do the little registry hack after all and installed Aerosoft's DC-8. Don't want to make any premature judgments, but so far the only problem I've noticed on the tutorial in progress is the DME readout keeps cycling in wacky fashion. INS works, and fuel system (although not as ambitious) is not obviously broken so far.

Can I assume you've got the 732 running in P3D V5 ?  I just tried installing it and got nowhere...

It's not difficult. I just pointed the installer to the Prepar3D v5 directory. The installer adds an entry into the dll.xml of P3D4. Since I have 4.5 still installed, I could just get the entry there and port it over to my v5 dll.xml.

Alternatively you could also find it somewhere in the Prepar3D v5\Captainsim directory and add it from there. If you already have v5 compatible Captainsim airplanes, the entry is already there.

After all I run the Total Overhaul mod .exe installer, add some liveries and finish.

I installed the v4 737-200 directly into 5.2–no hocus pocus, just changed the install path when it came up. Then same with the Total Overhaul. Just double check to make sure the everything is in the usual CS folders. The only gotcha I can think of is if you don’t change the path when the installation runs. That confused me once.

I must have committed a stupid human trick then.  I'm prone to those... 🙂

I'll give it another go.  Funny, I usually expect CSim to lock out other sim versions.  Nice of them for a change!

I’m not sure if anyone will respond to this years later but I’m having trouble with my JF DC-8. I am running P3Dv5 and installed the plane using the registry trick. The plane flies like normal and everything else is fine. My only issue is the fmc doesn’t work. when I click on the fmc nothing is entered onto it, I’ve tried reinstalling and installing and nothing seems to work. I can’t find anything online either to help me

Have you tried the FMC while the cockpit is in 2d mode?

Am having the same issue. I seem to remember an issue back with this thing first came out that required you to download and install a specific type of Font that windows didn't have....Is this still needed now or was there an update to it? If it's still the case, whats the name of the Font?
