July 6, 20214 yr Since the beginning of MSFS I have those nasty horizontal lines, mostly visible in mountain areas and under certain light conditions. Is this a known bug or limited to my setupt?
July 6, 20214 yr Known bug but apparently hard to fix. Richard - flying out of Australia Explore amazing places with FLIGHT SIM DISCOVERYCheck out my real life 'learn to fly' video series
July 6, 20214 yr Asobo talked about it at the last twitch session. They are aware of it, but they said the problem lies deep within the rendering engine and a lot may have to be rewritten to remove it. I thought I saw this in FSX and P3D also, as people say, depending on the lighting in mountainous areas. I have seen it quoted somewhere that the bug actually lies with DX11 - I am not an expert on it, so it is beyond my knowledge. It will be interesting to see if the Xbox shows it on DX12. July 6, 20214 yr I think it usually lines up with the horizon so you could treat it as a type of defacto HUD attitude indicator .

Is this a known bug or limited to my setupt? Yeah, it's been there from the beginning. Just pretend you have an old Sony Trinitron monitor, that had 2 lines actually 🙂 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
July 6, 20214 yr I used to particularly notice this when flying in the Pacific North West - between Darrington and Concrete for example. That was in FSX. I was amazed to see that it is still there in MSFS.
July 6, 20214 yr Just another thing making me wonder if they really tested it before release... or did they say: "well, the same bug as on every early ESP engine sim, so we do not fix it as people are used to it"? Same with ATC, some decisions I will never understand... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
