right now its VFR because I don't feel the base sim lends itself to IFR yet.  I think it will improve and then I may or may not switch to IFR 'primarily'.  Its whatever Im in the mood for...sim capable of course.

Low level slow relatively short VFR flights only.  Hoping future updates will open that up considerably.

So I fly all my flights IFR ( hundreds of flights) since starting with MSFS. Explain what you mean about the sim not lending itself to IFR. I guess I must be doing something wrong?

Mainly VFR with a little IFR. I'm almost exclusively flying Just Flight's PA28s, the modded default C152 and the FBW A320. I should probably fly more of the stock aircraft tbh!

The great joy of VFR in MSFS is I can use Littlenavmap to plan flights following real world features (towns, major junctions, ponds and lakes) and then hand fly those using real world ded reckoning techniques.

No, thanks.  I'd rather not.

That's what I figured.

VFR by far offcause because A2A , FSL, PMDG, Majestic still is the king of P3Dv5 flight simulation.

It still feels like a game straight out of a FSL session . But the graphics is just amazing and i cant wait to PMDG NG3 to arrive :-)

When NG3 arrives it might be my time to do the wife for a PC upgrade :-)

Primarily IFR as I enjoy flying in actual weather conditions most of the time.  If it's a small field without approaches and the weather is OK, I'll do the occasional VFR.
