Featured Replies

Title says it all for the FBW a320. What are the majority of people running?

Ive been on the stable version for ages but is it work changing to the dev version? Will I run into many issues?

Dev works perfectly 99% of the time. It is no work at all, just download the installer from their website and choose the dev version to install. If you have the stable version in the  MSFS marketplace, you HAVE to delete it first, though. It will override the dev version otherwise.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Development. Forget the stable version. Never, ever use it. It is old and outdated, missing a number of features and advancements.

Think of the Development version as the “new” stable version.

Also in the discord they say you should use the dev version. Especially at the moment with the Update 5.

Didn’t know this!

I was just worried about CTD or other issues if I changed to development

Yeah definitely the Dev version is the one to use. Gets updated several times a day sometimes and always has the latest features. The Stable one gets outdated very quickly. I've been using only the Dev version since January and never had a problem with it. The Experimental version has sort of become the new Dev version in terms of possible instability.

Dev. It has all the latest goodies and is updated at least daily.

Delete the FBW folder from community and use the installer https://api.flybywiresim.com/installer to install the latest Dev version

Made a new attempt after uninstalling/reinstalling the last installer and the last Dev version : CDT when I click on "Fly" ! 🤕
Too bad, I'll wait for a next version.
PS : No pb with the DC6 PMDG nor with the CrJ 500/700 Aerosoft, nor with other planes on the same airports.
