July 29, 20214 yr Can I? Is any window for this? Something like Ctrl+F11 in Active Sky for P3D (Weather report from current METAR) with direction of wind, temp etc? I use real weather and on this info I have only big text REAL WEATHER, thats all. Befor the flight I can see direction of wind only on map editor. During the flight I dont know any tool to check the weather. Example: So any idea? Thank You! July 29, 20214 yr I use this mod that shows the wind direction and speed, and the temperature. - https://flightsim.to/file/3181/fspm-vfr-map After SU5 the icon on top bar is blank, but it works, press it and wait a couple seconds. July 29, 20214 yr there is a ctrl-z addon which can show winddir and strength. https://flightsim.to/file/16358/shift-z-stats
July 30, 20214 yr Author Thx! It would be nice to see it in the sim also as default weather window (with detail of uncrypted METAR, not just text REAL WEATHER). Maybe I'll add this idea for votes. This is important because during, for example, a 1-hour flight, the weather can change and the conditions and wind direction at the landing airport will be completely different. That's why us real pilots tune in the airport's ATIS comm frequency when getting closer to the destination. It will "read" him/her the current METAR for the airport. That said, using the default ATC to do that for "real weather" in MSFS may be a YMMV situation. Edited July 30, 20214 yr by FalconAF Rick Ryan

Right, but here is a METAR is present in communication 😉 ? Also, for small airports no this info in P3D/FSX for example. Just big airports with automatic info. The problem only is that I fly in VR, if this texts work as in P3D it wont be shown in VR picture, just on 2D monitor, will try. TY! July 31, 20214 yr ahhh ok, sorry, i didnt see that, its in your profile. hope you find another solution then.
January 19, 20224 yr After farting around with MSFS for the past few months.. I'm not impressed. with all its hype and praise.. Its buggy as can be and nothing more than eye candy. Flying bing maps pretty much. And 3rd party developers are probably gonna have a really hard time making a quality product that works as well as it did in FSX.. maybe things will change, who knows.. But with microsoft these days, I wouldnt hold my breathe.
January 19, 20224 yr You could also use RW metar information from Skyvector, Meteoblue, NOAA, or similar. It will not always exactly match the MSFS weather but that’s just like in the RW as well. Surprises happen and pilots must deal with them. In a sim I’d call it fun.
