AI generated buildings - Visuals decreased?

We dont need good performance, we want stunning visuals, which we had with MSFS.

Your "stunning visuals" aren't going to do you any good when you come stuttering in for a landing.

The average gamer and simmers plays games and sims on the hardware he/she has at hand and doesn't go about and spend some ridiculous amount of money on hardware.

Sorry, if you spent $3000 on your pc, you fell for nvidias and amds advertising. Reminds me when back in the days folks were told that sli and crossfire were the next hot thing. This meant that nvidia and amd could sell you two instead of one graphics cards.

As soon as I heard that MSFS 2020 would come to the XBOX I knew that that would lead to the PC version being closer in line with what's possible on the console. With, in turn, significant performance improvments -at the cost of some visual degradation - on the PC.

I mean, where did folks think this "huge boost in performance" that everyone salivated over just a week ago would come from? Lol.

A lot of posters think if you say something even barely critical about MSFS patch, they have the right to start throwing insults, but its them acting like "kids".

It's both ways. Making it personal for a videogame it's childish and toxic. Blind praising and negativity spreading are too.

Lets be real, every update Asobo did, there is always a few posts about visual degradation. We're on SU5 now, with all the visual degradation, you'd think the sim would be looking like fsx by now lol

It's not the same at all, there are a lot of other issues with this patch that go beyond almost all other patches (excluding maybe 1-2), and it's been a year, time for Asobo to stop screwing with the engine every single patch.

I think I've asked a legitimate question, then some other chimed in who confirmed my thoughts, just before the usual suspects appeared to start their agenda against any critics of MSFS recent update.

Nobody has any agenda. If you are going to post about visual degradation, post a screenshot so we can see what you are talking about.

Your agenda is to argue, no-one is arbitrarily pulling you into every discussion as you are others, you are injecting yourself into the conversation. That is the BIG difference between us that just post our opinions which are generalized and not aimed at a specific user, to those that make it personal and try to nitpick every comment targeting a specific person's comments.

Argue? If voicing my opinion is arguing, I can say the same about you. Its like if someone disagrees with you they are arguing. For the record if anyone disagrees with what I say I dont run to the mods and to say they are arguing.

I'm not sure what you are even referring to with the mods, but i have never contacted any mod. You are even arguing about arguing, as noted, we aren't interjecting upon your opinion, we let you state your opinion as an independent opinion and we move on. You however keep jumping into every thread ASAP and quoting any opinion you do not hold, and then repeating over and over again why everyone else is wrong. Its repeat comments in every thread about other people's opinions that are specific quotes. We already know your opinion, no reason to keep quoting people.

If you want to voice your opinion, then do so without filling the threads with argumentative rhetoric by quoting people constantly with differing opinions.

Speak for yourself. Whats the point of stunning visuals if your performance is trash?

This is a very poor line of thinking in my view. New and better hardware will come along rather predictably quickly, and processing power won't be a bottleneck for long. A new simulator comes along maybe once a decade. It's incredibly important to get it right without unnecessary constraints. As well, performance was absolutely fine in the last update with sufficient current hardware. Obviously if you want to play on high end settings you will need a high end machine. That's the whole point. If you can run maxed on the average machine 60 FPS, then you are necessarily leaving tons of performance on the table.

Were you at the FSX launch when nothing we had could run FSX. I guess waiting 10 years for better hardware was better 😒

I am here now, running the sim just fine with current hardware. This isn't some hypothetical performance. It is already possible and was already possible before this update. We have been running this sim for a year now...

You just said my agenda was to argue. I also see you running around in multiple threads too. Am I only allowed to view or comment on only 1 thread? This is a discussion forum. All the threads are open so anyone can view or comment. Do you see me telling you or even mentioning the fact that you comment on mutiple threads? You wouldnt even know unless you were in those threads too. Maybe I should make a list of all the threads you comment in and all the people you dont agree with?

lol ok. Well I'm not going to keep going in circles with you, I agree you can do as you wish since I have no power to stop it. Someone else can engage with you in your banter.
