AIG OCI Traffic Missing

Featured Replies

This is also posted over on the AIG forum:

First let me say, I've tried every ai add on out there and this has been the absolute best! Today was my first real issue. I'm running V5.2 with just the simple bgl's in the OCI. I've been running with all of the North American ai and much of the Europe installed. I decided today to fly some long haul to VHHH and ZSPD so I added all the Asian cargo carriers and most of the Chinese carries. But, when I started my flight, I would say 80% if not more of my ai traffic had vanished at all airports worldwide. Oddly, none of the cargo ai of any country or carrier seems to be effected. I have some DAL, AAL, UAL, DLH but many are just missing. All the traffic bgls are present (176) but only a handful of airlines are showing in sim. Files have been verified. The only thing I changed today was adding a dozen or so airlines, one at a time, not bulk, with OCI.

Update an hour later, uninstalled Alaska Airlines then reinstalled. At PANC there are no ASA aircraft as well as none at any other airports I've tried.

Check to see if Alaska is a bgl or if it's in AIGFP format. I've seen the odd issue with AIGTC isn't working properly resulting in all of your AIGFP traffic not showing up. Often I've fixed by closing and restarting AIGTC.  Also check to make sure that it's up to date (current ver is 0.3.3.11).

Its not just Alaska, it is most of the 176 airlines installed. All bgl, all worked fine until I added about a dozen new ones today and suddenly, most of my ai traffic is gone. I just deleted and reinstalled ASA as a test to see if it would restore the airline. I feel like I spend most of my time troubleshooting P3D instead of enjoying it.

It's nothing to do with P3D or any particular .bgl. Have you tried the fix as outlined above by Dave_YVR as I suspect that will solve the issue for you?  If it doesn't, head over to the AIG forum, they'll get you sorted.

None of my traffic files are in AIGFP format. Until today, I didn't even have the AIGTC installed and everything worked fine. I installed the AIGTC after the issue manifested hoping it would correct the issue and tried all the other solutions from older posts over on the AIG forum I have a post over there but so far, no joy on any responses. Personally, the simple bgl system is the least problematic and in an effort to add more ai variables and features I guess you'd say, it becomes more likely that there will be some sort of conflict.

The problem is that the folder that contains your BGL files is not visible to P3d. Something has happened to the add-on.XML file that controls your AIG configuration.

Your best bet is see what the folks at AIG say.

This is what I thought as well but some of the airlines show up just fine. For example, today I added most of the Chinese airlines but they are not propagating at the airports. Many of the Chinese cargo airlines are but the pax carriers don't seem to be. My American carriers are mostly good but Alaska and several others are missing. Super odd.

ok, I found the problem. I don't know if it was caused by the OCI or by FSreborn but in the ai aircraft configuration file, some texture entries, [Fltsim.1] etc, were placed below the FSreborn entry so there was a break in the aircraft texture entries. So, all the textures above work fine and everything below isn't recognized. Hopefully this can be fixed without having to go through all the configs individually.

Edit; nevermind. I got Alaska working with AIGFP and removed all fsreborn entries and did a cfg repair with AIG Manager. But, basically anything I installed or updated in the last month or so will not propagate even though the cfg files are correct and bgls are present.

@sivart2000, open AIG and check you don’t have any FS9 BGLs installed. I did and the impact is all Ai disappear.

You can read my problem and the solution here.

The [FSREBORN_LIGHTS_CTRL] entry location shouldn't have any effect on aircraft entries below.

Yeah, I figured that out during testing. So it just seems to be the newer traffic I've tried to add. I can't pinpoint at what point exactly but I noticed it when I tried to add traffic in the China region yesterday. So the entries are all on the cfg files but the aircraft don't show up. I also updated 15 airline flight plans that day as well and I believe those were also affected. I have no stray fs9 bgls and from what I understand, that would prevent all traffic from showing but in my case I have most showing, just not the newer entries and recently updated ones. I have logs submitted to AIG, hopefully they can figure it out.

So when you go to any of the airports in China that would would expect to see those newly installed ai, you still see most of the traffic and just not the newer stuff? When you go into your AIGAIM - OCI\Traffic Files\scenery folder, you can verify that the newer traffic bgl's are there?

Solved, it seems there was a database error in OCI and you can simply run OCI now and it will update the database on it's own. Then just reinstall all flightplans that you added after July 30th 2021.

Maybe this isn't the right thread, but I'm having a similar problem.  All of my AIGFP traffic shows, but none of my bgl traffic does.  Any pointers?

You’ve probably got a FS9 BGL file in with the rest of your FSX BGLs. One is enough to prevent any Ai appearing - just the FS9 Ai.
