August 1, 20214 yr Hi, I’m looking to get either the MSI or EVGA RTX3080ti. But i’m unsure what one to get as there is quite a bunch to pick from. Here is the two links to both cards. What do you guys think what one should i grab? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-suprim-x-12gb-gddr6x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-37g-ms.html?__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=pmd_4f919a95ca6f5a39705c784c368592c3467dd656-1627851766-0-gqNtZGzNAnijcnBszQyO https://www.overclockers.co.uk/evga-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-ftw3-ultra-gaming-12gb-gddr6x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-32m-ea.html Vernon Howells
August 8, 20214 yr If you can - get an Asus. Evga or MSI doesn’t really make a difference. I have a EVGA 3080ti FTW3 as the Asus was not available.
August 9, 20214 yr it DOES make a difference it you want the longest warranty in the industry: 10 years total warranty for an extra 50$ for EVGA. thats why I got the EVGA 3090 AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
August 9, 20214 yr I've heard sub-optimal things about MSI GPUs. The EVGAs are nice because they aren't subject to the 25% tariff (they're made in Taiwan instead of PRC). ETA: Just saw your location. You may not be subject to the tariff as we are here in the States. August 17, 20214 yr Yeah but why would I want 10 years warranty on a GPU? 🙂 5 years ok.... 7 maybe... but 10? I just installed the Hybrid Cooler on my EVGA 3080ti. See screenshot. 4K sightseeing over Paris undervolted to 1875 Mhz @ .875mV @ 64°C https://photos.app.goo.gl/zsBF64iEw6YmUgFSA Before I was at around 80°C with these settings and the fans were going crazy. If you like silent GPUs - go for a hybrid or watercooled one.

If you like silent GPUs - go for a hybrid or watercooled one. My last build was some 13 years old when I replaced it. Granted, I held onto it for at least 5 years longer than I should have. August 19, 20214 yr But how much will a 3080ti be in 10 or 13 years? 25 bucks? 🙂 Edited August 19, 20214 yr by swiesma

Sometimes you get lucky and if you keep them long enough, they become collector items.
