Longitude Unflyable Since SU5

Featured Replies

I hope it's just me, but I simply cannot get the Cessna Longitude engines to start from cold and dark.  N2 hangs up at 25% for both engines.  It's hard to tell what positions the engine start switches are in as there are no lights.  The fuel boost pumps and the fuel valves don't show any indication.  I checked to see if I was missing an update, and I'm not.  I've got the latest mod (LongitudeFDEfix 1.85) installed.  It worked like a champ before the SU5, and it says that it's supposed to work after.  Not sure if I'm doing something wrong because I haven't read of anyone else having a problem.

Make sure you don't have any packages needing update in the content manager, we saw a case of this in our discord with these exact symptoms. Remove the mod, check content manager, restart the sim to test then only if you can start up and have proper button lights, then try the mod again.

This is interesting given saw TONS (gigs worth) of updates available in the content manager post SU5 update. Updated them and checked again after the Hotifx and everything shows up_to_date.

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

I had the same issue.  As the previous poster stated, I removed the mod, redownloaded and reinstalled.  It all worked again after that.

Thanks, I'll do that.

The button circled in red seemed to solve the problem for me. I fumbled around for a 1/2 hour trying to figure out why I couldn't start the darned thing and stumbled onto this button, which I suspect is a fuel valve control.

After switching on the batteries, this button circled in red will show amber "CLOSED". Before initiating the start sequence (or shortly after) push this button and it will switch to what you see below.

Yes it is, please follow the checklist carefully.

This was changed in SU5. Previously it was open at the start. Now it is closed & needs to be opened.

It is the master fuel control for the fuel feed from the tanks to the engines.

Ahh, Ricardo.  Turns out it was not a checklist issue, but an update issue.  With all the updates complete, all the proper buttons light up, and everything works. But thanks anyway for your response.  🙂

Was never open for me, although engines and APU didn't care whether it was open or closed. Glad to hear that it makes a difference now.
