As you can see, not of any use to a serious pilot.

Here's another one gents;

I managed to get the CLS/Just Flight 747 HD package running in V5.  They weren't really useable in V4/V5 due to the VC not showing, but after playing in Model Converter X I managed to get them up and running.  The altimeter and airspeed gauges are missing their needles, and the ADI and HSI are running but missing bits - but otherwise they're working up to spec.  It's nice to have round gauge 747's working!  The 2D panels are working as well.  Something to hold me over until JF finally get around to releasing their all new bright and shiny "classic" 747 package.  If you're interested in knowing the "gory details" on how to do it, send me a PM.  I should be able to swap gauges from the DC-10 package into the 747 to fix the gauges that are messed up, but I'm too tired to try right now...

Since I don´t have the JF DC-10 HD, I searched and found the Thomas Ruth DC-10 package and modded it a bit. Before I almost deleted it again but then said, give it a try. Now I manage the autopilot and enjoy to fly it.

Still some things to fix like landing lights beams or pitot switches.

More good news!

The Just Flight/Aeroplane Heaven DH 106 Comet 4C runs just fine in P3D V5, and looks better than it's ever looked before, too.

I've had some success using the BAC-1-11 in P3D v5.2. This is the version of the aircraft which years ago was updated to FSX. All I did was to transfer two files - the BAC-1-11 and the DMS shared file folders to P3D/simobjects/airplanes. I have not found any show stoppers beyond the fact that I forget how some things operate so flights have become a refresher course in how not to get virtually killed. I use it VR and the cockpit does not show all that clearly but it is easily usable.

Yes, I've had the converted 1-11 running in V5 with no problems - everything seems to work just fine.

I just had something strange happen flying the JF Comet; After 5 separate flights with absolutely no problem, P3D V5 started dropping to desktop as soon as I would throttle up for take off...  The problem was the smoke effects used - once the engines started producing smoke the game would crash.  Fix was simple - just go to the lights section of the aircraft.cfg and edit out the last 4 lines (the effects are actually listed as lights due to the way they worked).
