August 21, 20214 yr Does anyone have experienced the same as I did 10 minutes ago? I had started a flight with the DC-6 and then paused the sim for around 2 hours (using esc button), after continuing the flight I had decreased airspeed and noticed that some engines had failed. Then the aircraft was barely controlable and crashed into the sea. Is there a known issue about pausing the sim and disfunctionalities?

I have paused the sim for extended periods once or twice, and it caused problems. I don't do it anymore.
August 21, 20214 yr Have similar issues with the DC-6. I have stopped pausing for more than a couple of minutes. Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
August 21, 20214 yr Author I don't need to pause my flights often. Actually it has been the first time ever since more than 10 years of flight simming to be honest. It's just that the weather was rainy the last days at my place and I wanted to use the sudden blue sky and sun today to go outside. I thought I could just continue my flight when I was back. For me it's not that important, I was just suprised. However, for people who might not have much time to flight longer flight in one breath, should still have the option to pause the sim without having fear that something gets broken. Anyway, thank you for sharing your experience with me, kind of relieving that this has nothing to do with my flying skills.
August 21, 20214 yr All that engine simulation runs further, despite pause, I think. Also fuel consumption. So, after a while with pause you have dead engines probably. Still a MSFS Bug. August 21, 20214 yr There are three types of pauses (the esc and the pause and unpause functions, and the active pause toggle), and neither of them actually pause THE SIM. The simulation keeps running in the background, calculating failures and fuel consumption etc. This means that the sim is never in the same state as you left when when unpausing. Very annoying.
