Flying into Hurricane Ida…

Featured Replies

I tried the A320, and the pay ware $10 little inflatable boat plane thing. That thing couldn’t even take off lol. I tried the carenado pA28 and it was all over the place too. Took off out of KMSY and insta-stalled with the a320 lol.

Just tried it with the WTCJ4 from IAH to KNEW RNAV 09. The A/P did a fantastic job all the way to the 81kt quartering headwind. Flew the G/S perfectly crabbed (albeit slowwwww). Was impossible to land with sim weather vis, but UNREAL weather worked great on short final and was landable...

Pretty cool!

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Was flying in the WTCJ4 as well and shared the skies with a P-3 Orion from NOAA.  Had Live Weather (but not multiplayer) active.

flew into KMSY with a ground speed of about 76 knots ILS runway 11. Had to quit after landing as I could barely see more than 5 feet in front of me so it was impossible to taxi to a gate

Dem clouds though

What was interesting, is at one point live weather was giving me more accurate wind than unreal weather was

ASN P3D did good with the hurricane depiction also.
