September 2, 20214 yr the size of the tv doesn't matter. Your graphics card and cpu have to work just as hard to do 4k on a 65" as it does a 40". What simulator? I used to run p3d with a 1080ti just fine. September 2, 20214 yr With some judicious compromises on slider settings, you can probably make it work. The best bet would be P3D v5, since DX12 leverages your GPU the most, and VRAM limitations won't be much of a factor given the 1080Ti's 11GB of VRAM. With a 65" screen, however, you're going to need all the AA you can muster, so other GPU-intensive settings will have to be heavily moderated, and with a quad-core non-HT 2500, you'll also need to fairly aggressively dial back CPU-intensive settings. As Bob has said you need to be careful with these huge screens in flight sim. A 65" 3840*2160 display has the same number of pixels per inch as a 32" FullHD display. Lots of AA processing will impact on performance. I would suggest a 40" display to be more suitable as well as more practical. 110 pixels per inch versus 68. That's a big difference. A 4K 48" OLED TV is the best option at the moment for flight simulation imho, even better than my 49" ultrawide. When using my 3060Ti (roughly equivalent to your 1080Ti), I get better performance on MSFS when compared to P3D. Just make sure to adjust the render scale if needed...
