IL2 in a 109 is where I learn to automatically react to wing dips with instant opposite rudder without even thing about it 😄
September 9, 20214 yr I think the problem is more with the controller than the FM. For example when I twist my rudder controller in response to forces I feel, it will not let me apply a steadily increasing force, but rather responds in spurts. What I need is an automated takeoff engineer, or an AI function that works for take-offs. And I would add, so far no amount of practice has worked for me in the IL-2 Bf109, but the autopilot takes off flawlessly.

I was referring to x-plane, but il-2 does an even better job. Actually imh there are aspects of ground modelling in which I find lL-2 second to none... Never miss a take off in a 109 in IL2 with those... Or that tiny lead adjustment to get the Mk 108s to land exactly where I want them to. In the other case will be very fun if they will not do any changes before this DLC with high powered aircrafts. The half of race will crash on the ground ;)! I really appreciate such sentences, with zero arguments. 👍 No, the same, btw. its not my video also but it shows the problem perfectly, this test shows the behavior of wind and ground physics that is independent of the aircraft. You can find many videos on YT with this issue. In MSFS the general behavior is coded in the environment, not like in DCS, e.g. under the plane. The model only has its own flight physics characteristics, but adapts to the entire environment, not the other way around. The problem with ground physics (with speed and barrier of 40kts) here applies to every plane in MSFS, but with taildraggers it is most noticeable. Here is an example from FSX/P3D what it should look like and there the physics is very correct, not that in MSFS.
