September 12, 20214 yr A warning to anyone thinking of using steam verify files! Jose De Campos London
September 12, 20214 yr I had this once, this was enough. Can't be repeated often enough. Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11
September 13, 20214 yr Had this happen back about a year ago. Prior to the -fastlaunch flag being known I moved the Logo animation files from their normal location to help FS start faster. Didn't work, but in the process of putting them back I accidentally deleted them. "Use the steam file verify" to get them back was the suggestion. All it did was wipe the FS install folder clean so I had to reinstall the sim. 😢 Not Fun. Guess that means it's one of those things that is not fixed, if it's still happening.
September 13, 20214 yr Yes, that caught me out once. Only with msfs. all other games on steam don't seem to disappear as MSFS did. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

It's not your standard Steam Install remember so it's not as if anything needs to be "fixed" as such, more so the convoluted installation of the base game is the main issue but that's unlikely to change. I've had this happen with a couple other "non Steam" like games in the past, once you've verified once you'll never do it again! Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)
September 13, 20214 yr Another feature still bugged from release, without any visibility on when/if it will be fixed... MS/Steam should at least disable it or put a warning. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
