Quick FBW and Simbrief question

Featured Replies

I recently started getting back into the FBW 320 again and noticed my flight plans weren't loading into the MCDU automatically like it used to.  I opened up the installer and it said "c:\users\myname\appdata\...\packages\a32nx\work\flightplan.pln - could not be found, no such file or directory.

What do I need to do to go back and get that message removed so it can locate the flight plan and upload it into the sim?

Go through the Simbrief config again in the MCDU, then make sure that you initialize your plan. Should be automated from then on, had to deal with this myself recently.

Make sure you have your correct Simbrief user name set in the McDo under Options.

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Right. No need to actually download any file. Just setup your SimBrief ID using the FlyPad and then import your flight plan straight „over the air“ both via FlyPad and MCDU

MCDU works for me with no issues, but I can't import anything from Simbrief using the FlyPad for whatever reason.

Did you set your SimBrief ID in either/both FlyPad and MCDU settings? Just wondering as I recall I recently read some FBW post to only use the FlyPad settings

Only MCDU, I don't see a place in the FlyPad anymore to do that, it surely was there in version 0.6.

I had the same issue. Are you going to the settings tab in the Flypad to input your Simbrief username? I had originally been putting my Simbrief number, and not my actual username. Once I did that, the Flypad finally worked. Apologies if you've already tried that.

I checked out a youtube video with a tutorial for this.  When I went into the the MCDU menu per the instructions below, there was no option to hit "options" and to go into the Simbrief page.  Options was just not there.  Since this is an older video, did it move somewhere else?
