Getting back towards pre-covid levels? Hi Bob, No you didn't come across as picky at all 👍 Gatwick is definitely getting busier traffic wise. I check FlightRadar 24 quite often and there are a lot more active aircraft than there was earlier this year. Crawley and the surrounding area in West Sussex is as you know very dependent on Gatwick in terms of employment so it's a good to see things picking up. Sadly Virgin Atlantic closed their base there and moved operations to Heathrow and I understand that BA may be cutting back considerably at Gatwick too. But I'm sure other airlines maybe after those vacated slots. How are things over at EGBB? Cheers Terry

I personally just flew back into Brum on a Jet2 737 (from Lanzarote) just a few days ago. It's great how the aviation scene is picking up again after having it so tough. PS. The landing at Lanzarote on the way out had a distinct lack of ground effect - the pilot slammed the 737 into the runway and it wasn't even wet! Must be out of practice. I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. October 9, 20214 yr Author Indeed Chock, MS-FLIGHT excelled on different aspects of flight and ground physics. X-Plane 11 got a bit better after the experimental FM was launched, but isn't still there... I still find IL-2 by far the best in ground physics. Regarding the OP, ground effect ... Let's hope for the best for SU7. Oh dear, buried it in the runway by the sounds of it. Glad you got to walk away from that one Bob. Practice indeed 👍 Cheers Terry
