Coronal Mass Ejection Today!

Featured Replies

Looks like a CME is due to hit us today. Could be some disruption, so if your power goes out or there's disruption to the Internet you will know the possible culprit.

"An enormous solar flare is expected to hit Earth today, potentially affecting power grids and generating an aurora in northern latitudes."

I like the way they say "HUGE" solar storm and "enormous" solar flare to scare the pants off people but in reality it's just a moderate flare. 😆

The usual science clickbait. Maybe that's why my power went off writing my last post.

A coronal climax!  Someone go to the drugstore and get a gigantic prophylactic device for the Sun!  Speaking of which, isn't Shatner supposed to 💩 his Depends this week??

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Just imagine what the Daily Mail’s headline would have been had they got wind of it. Instead they’re running another “supermarkets are running out of food” headline.

Toilet paper Ray, toilet paper. Everybody knows that when there's a mega CME and the world is plunged into the stone age, its bog roll for our bums we need most of all. It takes priority over food, water or any of those minor considerations. Thus, The Daily Fail would most certainly be running with the appropriate headline to encourage us to buy at the absolute minimum 1000 rolls each.

Well, there's a Karen in Australia who probably still has a large stock of bum paper!

Toilet paper Ray,

I remember watching the cretins walking out of Tesco last year with trolleys filled with them and pasta. The stupidity of some people is beyond comprehension.
