Me too, but I am a White Sox fan.  However K Schwarber is from my alma mater, Indiana University!  Loved the slam last night!

My allegiances would likely confuse most Americans. Boston Red Sox and Celtics (though I barely follow the NBA anymore), and Chicago Blackhawks and Bears. So I've been a long-suffering fan for many years until the Sox and Hawks started winning championships again.

Maybe that  makes it easier to cope with MSFS's pluses and minuses!

You've still to update? I'm at 85% (7.08 of 8.35Gb (174 of 194 files) after 55min. Maybe you can get my spot once my update's complete!

No I updated and managed to get one short flight in before the servers went down about and hour and a half after it went live.

Ah, ok. Seems a previous suggestion that it's only updates which are working currently (for some) may be correct.

We are currently aware of an online services outage impacting player ability to use live weather, traffic, and other online functionality. This also affects players’ ability to download Sim Update 6. The team is investigating, and we hope to have a solution and return to normal service as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Well my update went quickly and without any issues. I loaded up a flight and all seemed well. Then I closed the sim to update some community stuff  and make a cup of tea and and on reloading it it was offline. Pity.

My data options are grayed out and I am on MS Store version.  And I just checked again after seeing badgenes "back online folks" post and I am still grayed out

After reports that the servers were back, I also saw that all the DATA options were still grayed-out.

I had to log out of MSFS. (Click your gamer tag icon - you will note that you are not connected to any server. If the box immediately above says “offline” ignore it, as it always says that if you are not using multiplayer. I signed out, then signed back in. Interestingly a few moments after doing that the sim CTDed. However, when restarting MSFS, It was then connected to the US West server, and all DATA options were again selectable. I also had to go to the Live Weather menu and re-enable Live Weather, as it was still set to the “Clear Sky” preset.

After loading an aircraft, all online functions appeared to be working again.
