I'm confused, the GTX 1070 was released 10 Years ago?

I'm not sure when it was released...but that replaced the original 800 series, that was specked with the system when I bought it...

You replaced the original card? Just asking, since you said you ran everything on ultra on a 10-year old system, with >30 framerates.

Sounds about right. I had a 1070 which crapped out and EVGA replaced it in 2017 with a 1070Ti. Would love to find a 3070Ti at a reasonable price.

Well, I guess what I meant, was perhaps the CPU and motherboard, as of whatever date purchase of the XPS 730x  have upgraded two things,  my 12 GB's of 3rd P high speed premium RAM and my G.C.  but the CPU and the motherboard is original. Internal HD's have been added since new, of course.  Upon purchase, I opted for the then, best...which was a GTX 800 series, which I replaced as soon as the EVGA GTX 1070 (non Ti) came out.  That is still in my system, when I'm raving about the SU6 present performance envelope.

So, an i7-980 CPU, (resting on the Dell O.E.M. motherboard) hooked up with a GTX 1070 8 GB, is pumping out the smiles...

Nowadays, I'd love to find a 1070Ti at a reasonable price... 😁
