October 28, 20214 yr been trying for days to figure this out. at an airport like KLAS or EKCH for example I can get real high fps on Ultra . But when I start panning with my mouse I have at some point in the cockpit a major stutter making it unplayable. If I lower done the panning speed it gets a litlle better. I have tried a ramdisk, but this did not help. Vsync in game has never worked for me and for AMD there are not many guides around. Maybe someone else has the same? Rig Specs; CPU AMD Ryzen 9950X3d, GPU 5090 32gb, Memory 64GB 2x32 CL28 , WD-SN710 Black 500 GB, WD-SN710 Black 2TB, MSI x870XeTomahawk, Be Quit Straight power 1200 Watt platinum. LG Oled C4

Try set Off Screen Terrain Pre-Caching to Ultra (Graphics settings). Nick Bebyakin / Handmade cameraset - Ezdok v2 and Ezdok v3 EZdok Software. Support remains on the http://www.ezdok-camera.com/ [email protected] / 20Gb / RTX 2060-OC-6Gb / Win10x64 / MSFS2020
October 28, 20214 yr The pre-cache does improve things but it's not a fix for me. Horrible stutters at times. MSFS 2020 i7-4790k @ 4.4ghz for the moment. Asus z87-k mobo. GTX 1080, 32gb ram. couple of SSDs....Saitek X52

October 28, 20214 yr You can try to set your fps 60 in game and monitor to 30 hz with vsync on. Or just set in game to 30 fps with vsync on. Edited October 28, 20214 yr by spitzer45 C. Uygar Aircraft Maint. Engineer. at LTFJ

October 28, 20214 yr With Riva Tuner you can limit fps to anything at all, not just 20, 30, 40, 60 but in between those numbers. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
October 28, 20214 yr Author doing the same now ith amd radeon, can change the fps limit. But this is not fixing the problem. Asobo also mentioned this stutter problem, but said when you turned your head slowly it should be ok....lol.... October 28, 20214 yr I know you have an AMD GPU, but someone suggested setting low latency mode in NVIDIA Control Panel to ultra to cure the panning stutters. Ever since I took this advice, I haven't experienced stutters when panning. I just wondered if there is a similar low latency setting for AMD users. Edited October 28, 20214 yr by March Hare
October 28, 20214 yr Author from asobo; Low - This setting will improve performance but a lot of terrain data is streamed at a lower quality behind the user, while FPS drops may increase when turning your head. Medium - This is what you currently have right now in the current build. The terrain behind the user is streamed at a lower quality and reduces the impact on memory and FPS, but when turning your head will need to stream the terrain. High - High will be an intermediate state between Medium and Ultra Ultra - This is will have no offscreen caching at all, and everything will be maxed out based on your graphics setting. The quality in front of the user is the same as from behind the user, so nothing needs to be loaded. This could come with some FPS drops when turning the head, but would result in higher FPS and lower memory usage when looking forward and not turning your head quickly. think I have this fps drop when turning the head... October 28, 20214 yr I see something similar at EDLP airport (the free Aerosoft add-on from the Marketplace) - it used to be more pronounced though and has become quite bearable with with SU6. It's not the same as the terrain loading stutters due to a low setting for off-screen pre-caching, which is on Ultra on my system. It just happens at one specific point when panning. It's like something is being loaded at that point, although it should stay in memory once it's loaded for the first time due to the pre-caching on Ultra. October 28, 20214 yr Are you using the default airports for KLAS or EKCH? Can you give a gate and heading where this happens? It's always easier to get others to reproduce the issue when you give simple and clear instructions 😉 For me it happens at EDLP Gate 2, panning to the left side of the cockpit, about 9 o'clock. Would be interesting to see whether it's only AMD cards that are affected by this, I have a 6700XT.
