Am I the only one who can't get the tiniest bit excited about this upgrade unless it contains something I have missed?  I certainly have no intention of air racing.

No intention to go air racing either but I'll buy the full package to support the developers. 60 dollars I believe. Also remember just getting the air racing in the game has already improved core multiplayer experience and added numerous flight model and visual effects into the core sim (which I imagine will come with Sim Update 7) so the Reno air racing development will not be lost on the rest of us either.

The only technical advancement will be DX12 implementation. Yet to see if it will be a big advancement for users or not.....

I just hope, that DX12 implementation will not detract from my present SU6 user experience.  It is the best all-round incarnation for my present system since RTM.

DX12 is supposed to be an option in the beginning. I believe they said you will have to select DX12 in the menu. Default is supposed to remain DX11

Why are you lot so ungreatful.

Hello. Welcome to an internet video game forum. I see it's your first day, so let me show you around. 😉

Nose gear Cub FTW, more fun for me on the ground vs being tilted backward. I appreciate the advantages tailers have but the nosers are great and I prefer them.

Larger bush-capable planes like Kodiak & Caravan show it can be done while looking cool and noser Cub will be the same.

Gonna remove all the tailers from my game.

will it be a 'free' upgrade for all present Premium Deluxe owners?

It’s a free update for all existing owners, and whoever buys it starting November 18th will also get everything in it.

It's basically just a fancy name for Sim Update 7.

Will GOTY planes be moddable?

They're free, so I don't see why not. Only payware aircraft are locked.

You know, the upside of the free PC-6, even if you don't plan on flying it, is that in multiplayer if you don't own the Milviz PC-6, the Asobo model will show up on players using the MilViz version, as long as Milzviz/Asobo used the same icao_type_designator.

That's how model matching is done in the sim for player and live traffic. I'm currently testing AIG, and if I turn on MP and see players using the CaptainSim 777, my sim will load up the AIG AI model on the player since the icao_type_designator information matches. Sometimes I'll see the AI A320neo models on players as well.
