My daughter was in the Northeast this week visiting friends. She was flying back to Atlanta on SWA, and she took off from Bradley Intl in CT and flew to KBWI on he first leg . I decided to fire up the DC6, and take off from KBDL about 10 minutes before her flight left. Weather was miserable, raining, no vis, climbed to 7000, and still in the overcast. Finally I broke out about half way to Baltimore, and around 40 miles from landing, I saw the SWA flight she was on because I use Real traffic all the time. It was her flight number 340, and it was setting up for landing on runway 10, the same runway I was landing on. The sim was about 10 minutes delayed, so when I texted her that I saw her aircraft on approach, she texted back that she had just landed. I landed about 10 minutes later.  By the way, she had the same exact weather on her SWA flight that I had in MSFS....

MSFS is the best!!!!!!

Could not agree more. This video is a good comparison to real life.

A little different masking to tone down the colors for time-of-day, and the "sim" vid at the top would be really really close to the "real life" vid.

That's one of the weaknesses of photoscenery but with a few tweaks here and there I think they'll have it.

The funny thing is, the sim version makes some of the real trees seem too tall. Ironic!😄

@Bobsk8 I had a similar incident to that once. I flew (real life) from Ft Lauderdale to DFW once and saw a Sun Country 737 on approach at the same time on a parallel runway. It stuck in my mind as I’d never seen or heard of Sun Country before.

So later in the day I recreated the same flight in the sim using the same time, date, historical weather etc. Low and behold, when I was on final in the sim I saw the same Sun Country jet on approach as well. I was so blown away that I had to pause the sim and show my wife. Even she was surprised how realistic the sim could be at times.

Pay attention to flight stability. MSFS perfectly on the string, in real life it rocks.

I thought msfs showed RW traffic based on real time rather than simulated time.  Have I got it wrong?

My experience was years ago in FSX. Sorry for the confusion.
