Two problem since last two updates:

1) Sim rate won't go above 2 and it often switches back to sim rate 1

2) AP keeps canceling randomly.

Anyone else having these issues?

That's not a bug, it's intentional.

Why would they intentionally do that on stable version?  You can go to 64x on Asobo version.  And yes I know we are comparing apples to oranges here.

Is the AP canceling a bug?

Because it makes it unstable.

AP cancels when there is a flight envelope issue that you need to immediately address. (Usually a prot or a floor) ..

I suggest you familiarize yourself with the documentation available on their website.

You can disable this function by going to your main MSFS installation folder (not the community folder). Then go to ..\Packages\flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo\work\

Inside that work folder create a file called "ModelConfiguration.ini".Open the file and add the following:

[autopilot]
simulation_rate_reduction_enabled=false

Save and the function is disabled. Use at your own risk.

LOL..hence the name "stable."  Got it.  Thanks.

That said, I routinely used FBW updates even at 16x with very smooth flight.  So kinda begs the question why 2x or 4x would cause such instability now?

I will see what I can find but am not an expert in flying planes.  No idea what a flight envelope, prot or floor is...and why would this happen on "stable" version?

Thanks.  I will give this a try.  Sometimes I just need 4x for long flights full of cloud cover.

From what I understand it's for people who have weaker computers.

Ah...makes sense.  I am going to try the workaround and see how that goes.  I just have to figure out this AP issue.

I installed this. Currently about 150NM west of Denver headed for Vegas. At about FL140 the climb rate went nuts and way above my set altitude and AP turned off, had a hard time turning it back on. Then few minutes into it started deviating to the right of the flight plan, by a solid 25 degrees. I'll continue watching for the same behavior on my leg back.

Thanks....problem is AP was canceling during CRZ.  Pitch and speed were fine.  It would cancel, I would rengage, it would work for a few miles and then cancel again.  Does it every flight.

I have been using FBW since early days of MSFS 20.  This is the first time it has done this.  Didn't have this problem even when FBW removed the plane from marketplace.  I install the plane via FBW installer.
