Click this button

STEP 2

Click(left mouse buton) the BIG blue button with METAR on it.

STEP3

You now have a pop up window EVEN IF IT SAYS >>> No Metar Available<<< Click the drop down window.

STEP 4

Click the airport you want a METAR From the list given.

There it is.................

Job done, its that easy!

"load the METAR" I have no idea what your doing.

All it does is give a report. If you have problems with weather thats not what this topic is about. its about getting the report.

How is it not intutive, it like so many pop up windows with drop down windows.🙄 

Anyway ive done a dummies walk through for anyone that finds this prosess hard. Argue the toss as much as you like about how hard it is to find. Am done. 

My problem is that fact that you do get the METAR string, BUT the depiction and weather variables sometimes don't match at all...

The Fact is this topic is about finding and seeing the report. 🙂 Am staying on topic. I have nothing more to add.

My problem is there never is a METAR for the airport I select. And I have been having the same weather since installing SU7: a low level of clouds everywhere. Doesn't like like live weather to me...

Its sounds like live weather is not working for you, if your seeing the same weather all the time.

Turn it off. Select clear skys. Close sim, open sim see what you get? Clear skys? If so then reselect live and see what you get. If live weather is not working for some reason and if your seeing the same weather every time it would seem not to be then that also could be way your not getting reports becasue your weather is really not on live?

Please do a close sim and restart also when you set back to live do the same. That might get you back to "real" live weather. This update has some bugs for sure.

Thanks for the tips, @Nyxx. I will also do a flight in some other parts of the world to see how the weather is over there: I've been flying in the same spot since SU7. 😉 Maybe the weather simply is the same here all the time... 😉

Well the UK seems to be clear skys today.. so GL, hope you sort it.

Once you activate the drop-down and select the airport, sometimes there is a metar report available - sometimes not.  I've found that there are several possible results:

• Metar is available - all is well
• No metar available, but data eventually appears as I get closer to the destination
• No metar available thru Live Weather throughout the flight, so I hop online to a metar site and get the info
• No metar available at all anywhere - this happens a lot with 3rd-world countries.  I had such a flight this morning.  My trustworthy online metar reporting source said that no current metar was available and that the last report was 2 weeks ago.  So, no surprise live weather couldn't get any data  🙂
