P3Dv5.3 Black screen when loading T2G KMCO

Recommended Posts

Has anyone experienced black screen loading with the latest version of Taxi2Gate KMCO?  Worked fine with 5.1 and 5.2. Regardless if I use a payware or default aircraft it won't load.

It's actually doing it even without T2G KMCO installed. Even default Orlando will not load.

Did you clear the shader files before loading?

Yes, here is what I have done. As soon as we hit load and you normally get the first box "Loading Scenery Objects" we get a black screen with spinning blue circle. For me I thought it was the payware version (Taxi2Gate) so I uninstalled it, no luck. Then I moved over to Orbx and uninstalled all of my Orbx addons, still nothing. Next I moved to removing the scenery cfg and let it rebuild, deleted shaders, still didn't work. I moved on to addon and still nothing.

Try renaming prepar3d.cfg to prepar3d.cfg.off and let P3D rebuild the file. Are you using any FSLABS products?

Thanks for the suggestions. Tried them all. Decided to go back to 5.2HF1 and everything works great again. Im starting to see other reporting the same issues on in forums and FB.

I can confirm the same (using default KMCO). P3D v5.3 freezes/crashes upon launching the scenario.

I hope @Rob_Ainscough or @simbol can urgently bring this to the attention of LM.

It is impossible to get LM’a attention on their own forum for any serious bug when the same two clowns (no need to name them, everyone knows who they are) spam every single thread with a “Have you tried the default F-35/removed all your add-on aircraft/scenery etc”

Hi Guys

Mine loaded T2G KMCO.

Install route was :

  1. Uninstall v5.2 Client, retained activation
  2. Uninstall v5.2 from Add/Remove Programs
  3. Full install v5.3
  4. Sync ORBX Central
  5. Update AIG
  6. Start and run v5.3 via default start, F35 at Default Aerodrome, then loaded scenario for PMDG T7 at KMCO

I just saw this thread and I tried to load KMCO. Both default and Taxi2Gate do not load.

I did. I ALWAYS install the client, content, and scenery when going from one P3D version to a new one.

I can confirm I uninstalled client, content and scenery then the main academic entry then installed 5.3 using the full installer and chose the same location my previous 5.2 was installed.

Tag a member of the team if it's a serious report with credible reproducible evidence 👍

Then regardless of anyone else you know they will have had attention drawn to it...
