February 2, 20224 yr If you want to forget that this is not a real DC-6, then you can get in the air fairly quickly. I'm still in my infancy when it comes to all the issues real pilots have to contend with when flying, so for now I just fly for fun. I think it's the best addon aircraft I've purchased. I had to learn a few basics about some critical things you need to know before lift-off, but once you have those under your belt, you can essentially jump in and takeoff. The droning roar of the engines make you feel like you there. Only thing is, my desk chair doesn't vibrate. 😞 I fly mostly all VFR, but I'm learning about flight plans and basic navigation on some smaller aircraft in my stable. Taking a long flight in the DC-6 can consume a lot of time, but she basically thunders along nicely. At whatever level you're at, the DC-6 is definitely a throwback to early times and you'll enjoy flying her. The attention to detail is exquisite on this bird. PMDG did a great job.
February 2, 20224 yr I absolutley adore the product. Very immersive and fun to fly, it just takes a little bit of learning and patience to get there 😉 Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
