No idea, maybe integrity / anti-piracy checks? There is a lot of LAN activity during loading (low bandwidth) that I can see from the task manager.

Sorry, could you go a bit more into detail? Where do I find that ominous data tab?

Thanks and kind regards, Michael

Well... i am living the luxury life. I don't mind waiting 2 Minutes for MSFS to start without having to fiddle with settings on every exit.

Well, certainly can't be bothered doing that every time but at least it shows that it's possible for Asobo to optimize something for a future patch.

No worries. Start the sim. From in a flight, hit 'Esc' and then select 'general options'. Form the hangar screen, select 'Options' at the top, then general options.

I dont see as much of an improvement as the OP. It was reduced to 3 minutes, so I think it is related to how much data you have in your community folder and how much you have bought on the MarketPlace.

I wonder if you get longer loading times later if the sim has to process what ever was skipped during startup.

I saw the huge improvement, but it did take 30-40 seconds after turning it back on and pressing  'apply & save' to get back to my flight. Still faster than not doing it.

Asobo should probably re-evaluate where in the startup sequence they start connecting to the servers. Seems like there's a good bit of room for improvement.

Haven't tried it but this seems to be a better option and something that need not be done with every startup. Good candidate for the "vote if you want to get it" simmers.

Hi, I am adding a couple of screenshots to the OP for more clarity. Even if you have resolved it can be useful for other users.
