There is a lot of LAN activity during loading (low bandwidth) that I can see from the task manager. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
December 18, 20214 yr Sorry, could you go a bit more into detail? Where do I find that ominous data tab? December 18, 20214 yr Well... i am living the luxury life. I don't mind waiting 2 Minutes for MSFS to start without having to fiddle with settings on every exit. Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX AiO | Win 11
December 18, 20214 yr Well, certainly can't be bothered doing that every time but at least it shows that it's possible for Asobo to optimize something for a future patch. From in a flight, hit 'Esc' and then select 'general options'. Form the hangar screen, select 'Options' at the top, then general options. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
December 18, 20214 yr I dont see as much of an improvement as the OP. It was reduced to 3 minutes, so I think it is related to how much data you have in your community folder and how much you have bought on the MarketPlace. I wonder if you get longer loading times later if the sim has to process what ever was skipped during startup. // 5800X3D // RTX 3090 // 64GB RAM // HP REVERB G2 //
December 18, 20214 yr Thanks guys, Now even me understood.😉 Will try it tonight. December 18, 20214 yr I saw the huge improvement, but it did take 30-40 seconds after turning it back on and pressing 'apply & save' to get back to my flight. Still faster than not doing it. Asobo should probably re-evaluate where in the startup sequence they start connecting to the servers. Seems like there's a good bit of room for improvement. Good candidate for the "vote if you want to get it" simmers. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe
