Orbx Cityscape Sydney released

Featured Replies

So excited about this one - no more default city scenery. Compatible with FT YSSY and comes with so much detail included!

From the acclaimed developer of Cityscape Sydney for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Frank Schnibben, this striking Prepar3D version builds on the original and adds ten times the coverage area and twice as many custom buildings!

Over 120 custom POIs have been recreated, including the iconic Opera House with its distinctive sail-like design, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which are the centre points of the scenery. Coupled with crisp 60cm imagery from Aerometrex that perfectly blends with AUv2, Cityscape Sydney is a major overhaul of the biggest city in Australia.

What if you use AU Australia v2?

Not for me: FT Sydney plus Australia V2 plus MJC Q400/FSLabs/NGXu equals +8GBs VRAM for sure.

13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber  - MSFS 2024

Wow! Was not expecting to see this. Purchasing now.

I bought it given I live in and fly out of Sydney and sitting at the gate in the PMDG 777 with Australia AU2 and Fly Tampa YSSY the VRAM is 7.8. That’s not an issue for me but would knock out most folk with a 8GB card.

I am using 5.3 HF1 (about to download HF2) and I can’t try with FSLabs as I have it disabled due to it not been compatible with the latest P3D versions yet and it is normally heavier on VRAM than the 777.

Instant buy for me. Thanks for letting us this has been released

Will buy as soon as I'm done with my current flight. Looks great!

This scenery is amazing and I'm glad to see Australia V2 is not required.

I was under the impression only downtown/circular quay and maybe North Sydney were included. Boy was I wrong. Chattswood, Bondi, Manly, even Parramatta are all in there. Landings at YSSY are going to be beautiful going forward.

I was a 5GB on start-up with the default FA-18 and FT YSSY installed (no FTX Aus installed).

I'm, getting 8.5GB VRAM usage with FT Sydney, ORBX AU V2, all ORBX global products, 100% AI (AIG - all airlines and GA installed), ship traffic, real weather, 4k textures and in the PMDG 777. Texture streaming disabled btw (I got 16GB VRAM so don't need it). Seems feasible to run. Happily (and rather amazingly) I'm not seeing significant FPS impact.

Overall very happy with this product.

Formally screen name was Alex_YSSY until the forum software ate my account  ^_^

After a long break from flight simming due to Christmas, travel and a slow reinstallation of P3D v5.3HFHF, I've finally managed to use get some flights into and out of YSSY, plus a few sightseeing trips around the scenery.

Well worth the wait!

So much detail displayed, and the performance using a payware airliner into FT Sydney is very good.
