There was a bug introduced in the v5.3 hotfix which caused airport lighting to remain on during the day.
The hotfix has been updated with this fix.
If you already downloaded the hotfix only a client update is required to fix this issue.
The original hotfix version is 5.3.15.28130, the updated version with the airport lighting fix is 5.3.15.28131.
The hotfix post has been updated to reflect the new version and this is also the current version available in the downloads page.

No announcement from developers yet, Activesky will be the first. PMDG will probably work fine. FSlabs will need updating. I own Reality-XP GPS too which updates often.

Is it correct that all we need is to download the Prepar3D_v5_5.3.15.28131 zip and run setup? I already have installed the original 5.3 when it came out ( 5.3.12.28072 )

Client only required for upgrade from 28130 to 28131.

Else uninstall all the packages (do not deactivate) and full reinstall inc shader delete w/o deleting generated files, unless you encounter post install problems.

Uninstall the old first

v5.3HF1 build 531528131 installed. Warning in ChasePlane and ASP3D that they're incompatible with current P3D version but ChasePlane still works with view changes internal and external. The smooth view option doesn't.

ASP3D injects weather. Seems okay to update and 3rd party updates should soon follow.

Correction. ASP3D requires an update. Connector is not injecting correct weather into sim.

Correction to Correction. Wx is being injected. I had a wx theme selected. Doh!! ☹️

I'm south of Edinburgh at FL240 and still in cloud. The sun is visible - just. Things are not working properly. Now hitting F5 on the HiFi forum. 😁

@Ray Proudfoot same here Ray, neither working correctly with the HF to the HF. 😁

My aircraft is currently at FL370 over Manchester Airport. Clear skies depicted in sim. I live 3 miles from EGCC and it's a total overcast. So the wx is being updated but not accurately. Nothing from HiFi yet.

P3D v5.3 HF1 (including the updated Client to fix the lights always on...and that is now fixed)

Again, the best version ever...in my personal opinion.  Runs dead smooth, FPS never tank...they are now set 'n forget.  I'm now just waiting for A.S. to update their P3D connection interface for the new Client (airport lights always on  fix). BTW, that IS fixed...back to normal.

I had a funny feeling about this. Im going to wait now before updating the original 5.3 which is working pretty much fine for me with the NVidia 497.09 drivers.
