P3Dv5.3 HF1 5.3.15.28131 update released

Featured Replies

I think I will wait a few days for the addons to update. Today is the busiest travel day of the year and I need my sim running so I can help the airlines move folks.😁.

Merry Christmas.

Now hitting F5 on the HiFi forum

AFAIK HiFi is located in California. From my experience, if they release something today, it will be in the evening here (Europe) at earliest 😉 But it's also possible that they're already enjoying their christmas holidays.

If there's no update from HiFi I'll be reverting to the previous version tomorrow. Landing lights on is not a problem.

@Ray Proudfoot Yeah, there's also the usual wait for FSLabs. I wish developers could get rid of this version lock stuff, maybe just add some kind of popup like "Unknown version, NO support given" or something like that but the add-on still works (I doubt there's really something they need to adjust except for the version number, at least this time). I doubt it will ever happen, but one can dream 😄

Holding off waiting on FSL. Likely with Xmas not until next week at the earliest.

Maybe the developers is looking forward to a vacation flying the busses in new conditions - we can only hope :-)

I kinda like the airport lights on during the day.  Think I'll not update.  🤣

Agreed! It is a useful 'bug' for those of us who fly in low IFR conditions and don't have the airport lights on. Other than the lights being on is there any downsides to not updating?

I thought it would also activate dynamic lights during the day, which obviously hammers performance. Haven't been able to check myself though.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I already updated.  But really wish they would add some kind of optional feature to have lights on during the day.  Or better yet some kind of parameters.  Like if it is IFR lights on. etc.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Hello,

FSLabs rolled out the update on their experimental channel,

Not so obvious. I have not noted a 'hammer performance' in my use.  YMMV.

I don't know for my peers, but the RXP GTN and GNS V2 are forward compatible by default with P3D5 updates (unless they dramatically change some key underlying gauge SDK stuff), so you should always be good to go with our current offering. The only thing which requires a new RXP update is the autopilot link.
