Toolbar Pushback

Featured Replies

I'm using the Toolbar Pushback addon.  It works fine except that I get no sound.  What options need to be turned on in MSFS in order to get sound?

jarmstro,

The pushback addon settings are all on. The question is --Are any MSFS settings required?

In MSFS in Assistance you have to make that ATC voices are not muted...  This is also metioned in either the Readme file in the application or from the download page in flightsim. to....

Options > Assistance > User Experience > ATC Voices

Gadget,

That might be a deal breaker.  The last thing I want to hear is 4000 aircraft being told to expidite there climb/descent.

Ensuring ATC voices are not muted, has nothing to do with invoking ATC, I have never had to anything other than disable the ATC menu in the toolbar... Used the default ATC once when MSFS launched, realised it was utter rubbish, disabled it in the top tool bar and it has never come back...  Pushback toolbar just uses those voices for the interaction with pilot at time of pushback...

Are you referring to the pushback sound you would normally hear like, Release parking brake, cleared for start n push, etc?

Totalstu -- Yes.

Gadget -- I was not aware that you could disable ATC from the toolbar.  I will look for that option. Thanks.

Does the issue only occur when you use default ATC to request Taxi IFR?  If you use the pushback prior to requesting Taxi IFR do the sounds work?

I don't use default ATC at all.

If you're at a gate and the plane is powered up and you use pushback does it give you sound?  I have an issue where it works until I request Taxi IFR and then it now longer works.  I use default ATC for now.  I'm new to Flight Sim. I found a thread at flightsimulator forum about a similar issue that I have and trying to get clarification.  The developer references ATC as an issue.

Ok, I got a reply for the developer.  Here is what he said:  Yes. For some it ceases to play audio when requesting taxi clearance via ATC, for others it just stops working out of nowhere. This seems to heavily depend on airport structure (gates, etc.) and how the flight is set up, like through SimBrief or in game IFR route.
