Might try these sign out and sign in steps in this video. Even though the video was for another problem.

I was locked out of the store version for four days.  I did try sign out/in many times without success.  The only thing that worked was to change my MS password.  Soon as I did this the Xbox/Store prompted me for the new password and I was back in.

Thanks , I'm still locked out of buying in the MSFS marketplace store. It was working fine yesterday.

I'm on Steam. I do have the Steam overlay turned on as required.

I tried signing in and out of MSFS, MSFS store, and MSFS Xbox: did not help. 😞

I also changed my microsoft password just now: did not help. 😞

Looks like I won't be able to purchase during the Xmas sale (which ends on Jan. 5). 😞

If you have not already try the improved gui available at flightsim.to Modern UI-full. That gives you a whole new and improved interface for MSFS.  I have it and I do not have the market place option on top ... it is in the front page along with the welcome screen. I love it.

Try it and let me know if that works for you.

I already was using the modern UI. The markeplace opens just fine, not grayed out. But the 'Purchase and Download' buttons are all grayed out for any purchase that I try. I have the Steam overlay on as required. Tried new microsoft password, signing in and out of Xbox, Store, and MSFS: did not help.

The sale ends Jan 5, looks like I'm locked out.

I reported issue at Zendesk. By the time they reply the year end sale will be over probably.

Sorry to hear that mate.  I do not have the money for sales anyway so I have not checked out whether or not I can purchase. I hope you sort it out.

That sounds really weird... Has it worked before for you? Also, have you verified, that you have a valid payment method attached to your Microsoft Store / XBOX Profile - thing ... I don't know what the problem could be, so this'll just off the top of my head.

Good luck - hope you get it fixed...

I bought a half dozen items from the Marketplace just yesterday successfully. But now all the marketplace 'Purchase' icons are grayed out, and can no longer buy anything. It seems an odd way to run a store to me, making buying much more difficult than most other online sites! No detailed receipts stating what you have bought.

It's like Bill Gates' had a low ability relative and they let him create their sales page. A world class sim and a poor store. If Jeff Bezos ran the marketplace there would be changes!

I have yet to have a flight since update 7 due to numerous problems. I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 6 times and I cannot get VR to work properly ... I get the taskbar, but cannot activate anything using the mouse.. I have a large checklist screen which opens without any input on my part and I cannot close it.

Hi Tony

Going back to your very first post in the thread - this is a universal problem that is recognised by Asobo and has impacted on all VR users of MSFS.

There are quite a few posts and Youtube videos relating to it and - while I think the community is bemused and disappointed (a polite way of saying appalled!) that a hotfix was not put in within hours but will, instead, be incorporated in a full update a few months later (it is being Beta-tested presently) - there is a work-around:

When you are in VR in the cockpit and the immoveable Checklist and ATC is in front of your eyes and the Task Bar opens but does not open anything:  press Cntrl - 0 (zero).  You will find that you can then move/minimise/kill the list boxes with your mouse and that the Task bar items will open normally.

On the other points, while I exclusively use my controllers for X-plane, the controller facility in SU7 is 'clunky' and I personally still use the mouse.  Again, improvements are also planned in Asosbo's next update.

Hope this helps
