January 12, 20224 yr It is so strange that in previous sims people complained that it wasn't possible to have any truly convective clouds and now that they exist so prevalently, people want flat clouds again. I can't wait till they get it sorted and can provide both in their proper places at the proper time. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. I'd love to see some real Cirrus clouds though! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Somehow I still believe we will get there, and one day the forums will be filled with gasps of joyous disbelief at how real the sky looks. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

There is more than one cloud type that exists, and the sad part is that MSFS used to have most all of them (except cirrus). Edited January 13, 20224 yr by KERNEL32

I didn't mean that kind of 'flat' clouds. I meant stratus clouds. 3 hours ago, KERNEL32 said: So.. cumulus and cumulonimbus to rule the sim world? The biggest gripe I have with the current clouds is that they are way too transparent. Irl I've flown above the thinnest of layers and I could not see through them at all. I want to be in the soup and break out at mins. Currently it's more like in the soup but you can see straight down (ie looking out window and down in a Cessna) and see the ground almost all the time. Forward vis is a little more realistic but still is just an area of reduced visibility. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
