It depends on your CPU. You have a Intel I7 7700 but you would need a Intel I7 7700K I think.
January 27, 20224 yr I've just made some experiments and found an interesting behavior. I've switched my second monitor to integrated card as was suggested. It fixed my background youtube video playback, that was switching to lower quality when MSFS was running. Cool. Popups. So I've detached G1000 and as expected, FPS tanked. Moved it to second monitor, nothing. I didn't make it fullscreen but instead just slightly changed its size. Boom, FPS jumped up to normal values. Awesome! Now what's really interesting, when I move popup back to the main monitor, no matter over the sim window or not, it changes nothing. FPS are still happy. This bug is indeed very silly. All in all I now have a method to detach my G1000 without fps loss, which is great. Thank you guys!

I think your right, I’ve turned it on in the bios but it doesn’t work when I plug a monitor in. Ya I turned it on in the bios, then plugged in a monitor after restarting but nothing showed up…All good though from what I understand a fix for the fps issue with pop outs is suppose to make its way into sim update 8, I’ll see if that helps and if it does then I’ll consider picking up a gps unit or run air manager and go that route! January 28, 20224 yr Y'all just need to be aware that most MB integrated video will use your regular system memory (doesn't have any dedicated fast memory like add on cards do). This means that MSFS will now have to share system memory with your MB's integrated video James
January 28, 20224 yr I tried this MB video trick and it works well. No fps drops in either 2D or VR when GNS530 window popped to screen connected to motherboard HDMI port. It does seem to introduce some slight stuttering into my VR flight. Fortunately for flying VR I don't need the pop out window anyway. But this is great news for flying on 2D monitors. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
