My FlightsimBuilder G1000 unit

Featured Replies

My Flight sim experience change for the best today with the follow unit : PFD/MFD from FligthSimBuilder. It comes with a premap WASM modules. All you have to do is pop-up the Avionics and put it on each screen. Every single function is preset. Works out of the box in about 10 minutes. Great hardware addons if you are looking to enhanced your GA experience in MSFS

Do they include the screens?  They're a fair bit cheaper than the RealSimGear G1000's. Looks impressive.

Do they stand up on their own?  I've been thinking of buying the RSG G1000 but this has me thinking in a different direction.

Wow, thanks for the heads up on these.  I assume they work with any aircraft that uses the G1000nxi?

They work with any avionics that can be pop-up.

Looks awesome…It’s a shame we lose a big amount of fps when popping out windows, suppose to be fixed in su8 from what I understand.. I’m thinking about getting their gns unit when there is stock available again.

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Thanks, I’m going to give these a serious look given they are US$400 cheaper each than the RSG units.  Trying to figure out what the competitive downside is haha

Those units do look appealing. I am not sure it was those or another maker I was comparing with the RSG G1000 units (maybe 3 years ago now).

I remember seeing a couple of reviews at the time (which I can't seem to find now) that said the RSG felt like better quality. I wouldn't want to say whether they are that much better to justify the cost difference though. I believe I paid somewhere around 2.5k at the time. Like I said, I might be confusing a different manufacturer that I compared with the RSG - it was years ago.

RSG also repeatedly mention the training aspect of their G1000 units. I haven't got the FSB units so not sure how 'authentic' they are. The RSG units are pretty darn accurate. Again - not sure the price difference is worth it lol!

Either way I heard only serious simmers use RSG so there is that. Sorry...couldn't resist.

I think your right in that the quality is the difference (buttons etc). This is just an observation I made by looking at their site, I do not own any of these units from any developer so can’t say for sure.

Having said that I will be purchasing a gns unit from fsb even if the quality is slightly lower once they become available, quite a bit cheaper than rsg and would fit my purposes…. But those rsg units sure look authentic and nice!

Ya, so 800$ cheaper if you buy the complete set, sounds better that way lol.

Yeah, I think you are making a good choice. The RSG units are super good, but I can't shake the price difference. It isn't going in a real aircraft. It doesn't have to be that good lol!

Plus you buy the bezel separately too with the RSG units.

Exactly, crazy the price difference…Maybe there is a difference In the monitors that are used between them.

The monitor is 1024x768 and it uses whatever avionics in-game

I have an Aviatek G1000 setup. The quality is just superb and looks and feels like the real Garmin G1000.

Soon to be assembled into a panel.
