May 16, 200719 yr I would investigate the reasons a bit more in your case. It's clearly been seen that most people are getting great perf. improvements with the SP1.There are cases (with FS9 as well, as everyone remembers), where certain high-end systems are having big problems. The reasons usually lie in some misconfigured HW (drivers etc.), or other problems with the operating system etc. I would investigate more before trashing the SP1 !!Tero PPL(A)
May 16, 200719 yr I have all drivers and sliders as should be...FS2004 = 25 fps locked 25 ALL TIME in ALL PLACES, with 1600x1200 32 Bits of resolution plus 3rd addon loaded.FSX + SP1 = 10/12 frames with sliders in ULTRA.Where are the wrong things?

That's a very large part of your problem right there.I've got a three year old, single core, P4 3.0 GHz machine with 2.5 GB DDR, Radeon X700 Pro and get much better results than you are! Fr. May 16, 200719 yr FSX + SP1 = 10/12 frames with sliders in ULTRA.Pull them back... That will be the biggest help. :) I dont think anyone is able to run FSX with full sliders. Chase Barnett
May 16, 200719 yr You are running the FSX with full sliders ?????I think there's your answer. No PC today is able to deliver FS9-like performance with full settings in FSX.:-boom Tero PPL(A)
May 16, 200719 yr Commercial Member HI ToMy Li,I am getting alot better performance with my duo core 2 some area have doubled in fps compare to release version, 20% or 30% increase overall. To be sure you test in cockpit not always external view with most - minimized view, this render all things..Don't use bloom, reduce traffic to leftslider level of radius to: small texture resolution 1mautogen to dense or medclouds draw distant to complete leftroad, ship to 10%ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis

The machine that can run FSX with everything at MAX/ULTRA hasn't been invented yet.FSX at full-bore is throwing over 100x as much data to the video card as FS9 at full-bore and every addon on the planet installed!!! :-lol :-lol :-lol Fr. May 16, 200719 yr First impressions....I am not seeing much of an FPS improvment per se(and I still need to remove my autogen.xml to get FPS where I want it)But it does seem smoother in flight, and the core usage on my dual core is much better (Ran Perfmon, not detailed granted but at least I saw both cores being used heavily as opposed to before)...Still running into the Unlimited VS Locked FPS quandry...If I unlimit I get better frame rates, but get occasional stutter (I know thats the drill), but if I limit I seem to get worse frame rates, especially at the big airports (havent quite figured out that one yet). But with the new SP1 - It seems I can run at unlimited without the stutters....So thats my improvment for now...I am not going into my rig in detail - but here are some quick hits..AMD4600+2Gig RamVistaNvidia 7600GTI have a AMD 6000+ which should be here in two days...Every little bit helps...
