WOW, I mean in a good way.And I'm running single core. Default terrain autogen levels - 4500 tress, 3000 buildings. 400 bandwith mult. Default.xml and autogendescriptions.spb both unchanged. Fiber frame default. I'm getting a serious improvement. Running dense complexity and autogen, never dropping below 25 fps, even over anchorage. Everything up high except traffic. Can't wait to see if the old tweaks will work; though they're not necessary anymore. Gonna go install treesx now. Ta ta...THANK YOU ACES P.S. This wasn't over a fresh install. I simply restored the old textures and xml files and left fsg mesh, add on aircraft and scenery in tact.

I second the performance gain on single core. Old single core.25 capped at 25 where I was in teh mid-low teens before.Looking god just installing over my install.

(Installed over Gensis mesh, no other add-ons.)One CTD when changing the cockpit textures to a higher level. Either SP1 made them mushy or just reset them to a lower level. My cockpit flashes now in the default 747. Some kind of new corruption.Don't really notice any FPS improvement yet. I'll go at it again. And is it just me or do the airports have better textures?

Yep, I do. I installed, defragged, and fired it up. No problems.

So far very impressive. Load times seemed much faster, both cores running at full tilt.I took a flight up I76 near Philadelphia airport with high settings (global high, mesh 100, 1m res, 2.x low, extreme complexity, max radius, low, then nomrmal autogen, clouds 80, max density, traffic at 30, ga at 10 (have ga-traffic at 40)). no bloom by the way. trilinear and antialiasing on in fsx.Old fps was around 9-12 nearing manyunk and stuttery, now locked at 25 with the occassional dip down to 23, no stutters, crips clear picture, clean fsx.cfg.Autogen from sparse to normal made no difference in FPS at all, next step, treesx and give dense a tree. No changes to the default tree and autogen setting in fsx.cfg.Only caveat was the clean fsx.cfg I forgot to enter the mytrafficx line but initial flight was very impressive indeed. More testing needed, but if Philly flies this well, I can imagine what denver and alaska are like. woohoo! Thanks to Aces for a job well done! (subject to change with time, but hopefully not).Dell xps 410, core2duo, 7900 GS, 4 gb ram. smartclose run to clear uneeded programs.Ian.
