February 13, 20224 yr Interesting this project to unify 3 energy sources in the same place. This concept is cool. José Luís | Flightsimulator: | MSFS | Add-Ons: | PMDG Douglas DC-6 | PMDG 737-700 | Fenix A320 | Maddog X MD82| FSW CESSNA 414AW CHANCELLOR ||

There’s 66 million of us squeezed onto a crinkley little island roughly the size of Texas and we’re all about to be shafted by massive energy price rises. We’re a natural for tidal energy. Have any British governments done anything about tidal research or encouraging investment in tidal power in the last fifteen years? Yes! The f@#%wits cut the funding in 2010!🤨

February 14, 20224 yr I sent this to two friends of mine to see what they think of it. One lives in Hawaii and the other lives in Southern California. I'll let you know what they say. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.

After you deduct all the expenses of the conference and consultancy circuit involved in deciding who will get the cash they’ll be a tenner left in the tin. Also, the grants and assistance is only available for tidal stream projects but not equally important tidal range projects. This is just more government lip service. The amounts of money being made available for this are miserable.

The government cannot remove subsidies for wind farms as it`s based on no wind still get paid wind too strong switch them off so as not to get damaged still get paid, And in the past few months some have been turned off due high winds and gust. Turn off subsidies and the private sector will never build anymore, the private sector is crying out for more land and planning for wind farms Peel Holdings want to double the size of Rochdale wind farm on the moors, and would like to cover the north York moors with windfarms guarantied profits, but the locals don`t want the humming of wind farms around them and have objected, you will not see any in the rich areas of the south spoiling there view. PS and they are not carbon neutral as some want you to believe construction and maintenance uses carbon. profit`s first we will get round to the rest when we are ready not before. There's a huge amount of energy around the coast of the British isles that's there for the taking. Each day I take a stroll down to the nearby bay, and after being thoroughly impressed by the men and ladies in their late 60's unperturbed by the freezing cold water in the middle of winter, swimming in the ocean, I marvel at the huge amount of energy battering the sea wall. All that energy going to waste.

Quote the most recently approved offshore wind projects will most likely operate with ‘negative subsidies’ – paying money back to the government. The money will go towards reducing household energy bills as the offshore wind farms start producing power in the mid-2020s. https://www.imperial.ac.uk/news/200353/offshore-wind-power-cheap-could-money/ Quote The offshore wind farms auctioned last September in the UK will most likely be the world’s first “negative subsidy” projects – wind farms that will pay money back to the government over their lifetime. https://www.carbonbrief.org/guest-post-the-era-of-negative-subsidy-offshore-wind-power-has-almost-arrived And I note, that once again you ignore the $5.9 trillion that's paid to the fossil fuel industry in subsidies every year. If you want to complain about subsides, you are directing your attention in the wrong place. You see, its quite normal for new energy industry's to require subsidies, but the fossil fuel industry has been surviving off huge subsides its entire existence. I think government policy is centred on a whoever is farting hardest basis. If you like Wikipedia just do a wiki search for Hinckley C and Sizewell C. Meanwhile the tide comes in and the tide goes out.
