There must be 10 other airports in the world that would bring them more revenue other than some regional airport thats been done to death by another developer over the last 5 years.

MK already made it for MSFS, and they're already proficient in developing for P3D, so it's understandable that they thought it worthwhile to port it over to P3D. Especially when they look at the competition and see TropicalSim charging $20 for a lightly updated scenery from 2017.

Looks like MK's LPPR is out and it's only $13.95 USD. Easy choice over TropicalSim. https://orbxdirect.com/product/mkstudios-lppr

Thanks for the tip.At €16.50 incl VAT is not so bad so this was an instant purchase for me.

 

With LPPR now out of the way, hopefully MK Studios will be able to release its long awaited LIRF scenery for P3Dv4+!

Also slightly off topic to the OP I posted, but MK Studios in one of their recent FB posts announced that they have a Dublin V2 in the works for P3D!

Another announcement/update from MK Studios was made regarding their Dublin v2 release on their FB page this week. No news of timing however.

 

What's new then ? A screenshot that shows they are also working on Shannon airport, but its not clear since they did not provide any written update whether that scenery will be for MFS and/or P3D. The screenshot they posted looks like MSFS .

And.... still no news on where development for LIRF stands!

Not entirely true, they're aiming to get it out before the next VATSIM Cross the Pond, which looks to be 10/22

It's a MSFS release only at this time. No mention at all about P3D and it's clearly on their back burner and imo, likely coming off the stove all together. Me thinks MK is phasing out of P3D and don't blame them, writing is on the wall.

In Mk Studios' latest facebook announcement today, they stated that Rome is still in development, though no release timeline for now, as they have an update pending for MSFS, which will come out first, and then be converted to P3D.

They also said they are not dropping P3D, "but waiting to see future updates and possible next version".

I have to say I dont quite understand their statement about waiting for next possible P3D version. As far as I know there's been no official mention of any next version of P3D so that's like saying it could potentially wait forever.🙄

I wish they would finally release it. Afterall, it's been at least 2 years in the making and the dev work is almost finished from what I can tell and have read. 😓
