Garmin Avionics Missing Features.

Featured Replies

I noticed from a tutorial on the G530 on Youtube that they showed airfield information missing on the waypoint pages section among other things lacking in the GPS pages.Has Asobo said when they'll add this feature to the sim and fix it.

Are you running the 530 Mod?  https://github.com/pimarc/pms50-gns530

Howdy. For the most part much of Asobo NAV gear was DOA. Fortunately, players like

Working Title:  https://www.workingtitle.aero

Fly By Wire:  https://flybywiresim.com

have addressed this. Do some reading there and on this site and you’ll get many of your questions answered.

The current gns530 leaves a lot to be desired.  WT (same guys who have worked on the CJ4 and the G1000 NXi) will be working on that too.  No time-frames given.

Okay so Asobo is allowing another third party to work on the Garmin Avionic Systems.I wish Asobo would allow other third parties to work on the sim, like the weather because i've always been asking for the return of the WX.Weather file for customizable weather at different airports and point stations

Working Title is not a 3rd party anymore.  Working Title has been hired by Microsoft/Asobo. In effect, Working Title is part of the MSFS team now.

You seem doubly excited about many things, including topic creation, lol.

No,my sim has no mods it's pure vanilla.

Installing the mod greatly improves the 530.

Minor correction:  pretty sure the guys from Working Title have stated that they haven't been hired.  They're contracted just like Asobo is, and continue to exist as an independent entity.   Other than that, you're right on, by my understanding.  🙂

I decided to to download the mod, but after that what should I do next.I unzipped the folder into FS2020 community folder now what am I supposed to do because the readme file doesn’t exactly give me anything else to go by.

That's it, just put it in the community folder.

The PMS mod for the GNS is okay...it doesn't add any groundbreaking features.... like actually navigating heh.  If you're used to say something like, RXP GNS430W - it's not remotely close to the that.  You'll have to be more patient, or for now, use the Working Title G1000 NXi - free download in the marketplace.

Or try the TDS GTN Xi which is very similar to the RXP/Flight1 GTN's of past sims.
