Assistance with AIG operation

Featured Replies

Hi folks. As far as I can tell, I installed and set up AIG the correct way. I downloaded and installed something around 1250 flightplans. I installed the AIG Traffic Controller software as well. I believe I pointed everything correctly to the library.

However, when I set up a flight and go to the traffic controller and inject, I don't see much happening. I don't see any additional planes appearing, I don't see any plane movement on the ground. No taxiing, no planes taking off or landing.

I have reviewed the instructions for installation and operation and I don't see anything that I am doing wrong.

Can I get some advice from some of you AIG users on what I should maybe check?

I am mostly using KLAS (McCarren Airport) to test but I also tried Dallas-Ft.Worth.

I have never seen a plane moving.

Help please .......... Thanks .....

Rob

I should add that I installed the fix to get GA traffic back so that the sim controls GA traffic and AIG controller airliner traffic.

When do you run the AIG Traffic Controller ? I found it works fine if you just run it when you spawn into the aircraft on the airport. it then takes a minute or so, and you should see aircraft spawning at the gates, and traffic either landing or taking off, etc.

This sounds like a database error. Delete the zip file and let it create a new one by loading AIG TC when at the ramp. There seems to be a bug in the latest version of TC that corrupts the database. I'm only sharing this because you downloaded 1250 FPs. I feel bad for you.

MSFS

There is a s a suggestion on one of the how to videos posted on Avsim that you should just download a couple airlines and test first. For example, download EasyJet and go to one of their hubs to check traffic is loading there. Better than downloading 1200 flight plans/airlines and then finding out the setup is gone wrong somewhere.

Which zip file are you referring to?

I just recently installed AIG for MSFS and I do get planes all over the place which is great!  AIG Traffic Controller is running all is good.  The problem I am having is that only a few are taxing and taking off but most of them are just standing around or spinning around in circles doing pirouettes.  Am I doing something wrong?  Maybe I am missing a step or two or maybe this is an MSFS issue?

Rather than deleting all of those flightmaps, I ran some of the maintenance tools provided and now things seem to be working as they should. Haven’t seen too many planes taking off and landing but at least a few and lots of planes at gates and meandering around the airport LOL.

You can check an airport's departure and arrival schedule in the manager,  by searching for the ICAO.   The scheduled arrivals and departures will vary by time and date.
