However, the only setting which give me terrible stutters, is a texture bandwidth multi higher than 40. And it doesn't matter if i set it to 50 or 300. I am puzzled with this one, but since it works well with 40 i don't bother further. Maybe your value is to high as well ?Heiko

I also don't see a lot of popping here and no stuttering at all after a clean install. Autogen popping doesn't even bother me. What bothers me is the blurred textures after flying 2 minutes over a busy airport, which i never had pre-SP1. And this happens even with a high frame rate. They just catch up after pausing the sim for 1 minute. That's the only thing i don't like in SP1. This i think must be fixed.

Do you still have this problem if you move the scenery complexity slider from dense to normal?

>Do you still have this problem if you move the scenery>complexity slider from dense to normal?Don't know, didn't try that yet. But i sure didn't have it using that slider on the max setting before SP1.

This i think must be fixed.I don't think this is something to be "fixed" away, I think it is something you can "tweak" away. I think you should adjust your FIBER_FRAME setting to kill the blurries. Now with SP1, there is more fps headroom to adjust FIBER_FRAME.SP1 changed the way our systems deal with FSX. That means we will all probably have to re-tweak to find the sweet spot.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

Visibility guys. Lower it. 20-30mi. You'll see less pops and it will look more realistic anyway.

I even got it to 32 km (which is a lot less miles) and popup is terrible.

>Visibility guys. Lower it. 20-30mi. You'll see less pops and>it will look more realistic anyway.>>>That is what I would like to do while using some aspects of real weather...The 20 - 30 limitation will not hold unless you make it global, making one weather situation global, or am I wrong?any way around this??Allen

>I even got it to 32 km (which is a lot less miles) and popup>is terrible. That's interesting. Because on my system the popping is no worse than before SP1. OK making progress here! I downloaded the newest DX9 files, downloaded the newest Nvidia drivers and threw away my FSX.CFG file, all to no avail. BUT...I shut off all water effects and my FPS went from 9 to 27 (!!) with everything else pretty high. I was amazed so I began to up the water until it fell off. In the end ANY water setting that started with a 2 killed my frame rates (I was using the lowest 2.X), while even the highest 1.X water setting gave me excellent results.I still have serious stuttering so I will keep looking for a way to cure that. I've got a 8800GTX, so 768 vidram...

>I've got a 8800GTX, so 768 vidram...Ok, then I wonder why you are seeing that. Are you sure that the popping is actually worse with SP1? With 768 vram you should be ok in that department.I found the popping bad before, and equally bad after. :)RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

Yes, it's worse. Before SP1 I hardly noticed any popup. But now I see things popping up ALL the time. Before SP1 I flew around Marseille and I remember looking 'outside', enjoying the view and all the detail. After SP1 I went there again and all around me things were popping up all the time. Even quite close, in parts were there is already autogen, still autogen gets added. It spoiled the idea of really being there for me.
