Steam gauges makes the mental gymnastics of IFR a lot more challenging vs G1000. I am super excited to pair this up with XP12 new Cloud/Weather! April 2, 20224 yr Hopefully, being a Thranda aircraft, a Simcoders REP will be asking for the Caravan in time to bring it to the next level.

Thranda did the ports of Carenado aircraft to X-Plane until mid 2019 when they parted ways. But up to that point they were responsible for a lot of aircraft (70 over 9 years) and are considered by many to be the reason the XP versions of certain planes are better than the originals. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/197780-thranda-and-xp11-carenado-c208/&tab=comments#comment-1803422 Edited April 3, 20224 yr by Matchstick
April 3, 20224 yr Maybe so, but they had a disagreement, I doubt any of the new Thandra planes are going to need any help. No longer stifled. Picking up this one tomorrow.

The product is called "Reality Expansion Pack", not "Pack of band-aids because Thranda or Carenado or JustFlight or Laminar screwed up". If a REP squats the odd product bug it's just a side effect and certainly not the main objective. X-Plane or any of the aircraft for which REP is avialable certainly do not come with gimmicks like tie-downs and interactive walkarounds, oil viscosity or fuel contamination modeling or maintenance or aftermarket aircraft modifications or a rudimentary economy system, which is exactly what REP provides. The subject aircraft themselves are perfectly fine. REP simply adds the bits of persistence and complexity that provide long term motivation to use them. I have the REP for JF's Turbo Arrow (X-Plane conversion courtesy of Thranda) and don't want to miss it. Ending a flying session with the battery switch on and not doing a proper runup procedure finally have the negative consequences one would expect in a real airplane. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
