  1. Thanks for this! This is an old thread but now with the new Lear 35 our for MSFS 2020, it's valuable again!
  2. I finally was able to setup beta and reverse! I guess it was there all the time but it was just not setup right. Just reset and mapped my bravo quadrant from scratch - not fun- but it worked. Now I get normal throttle action for power, beta and reverse. Well all except now my POV hat switch doesn't work at all lol. Using the Asobo interface to program controls is the most abusive and un-intuitive setup I have ever experienced. Any tips to get my POV working again are welcome...
  3. I’ll have to look into it. I’ve tried a few times on my Bravo. I guess I’m doing something wrong. Maybe SWS need to have clear instructions on setting up the throttles, as other venders have done. But- I have to say the plane is great to fly since day one - even with a few issues.
  4. No PIC time on a PT6 turbine, no, just going by the other highly regarded models in XP11, that I’ve been flying for a few years now, TBM850, Kodiak, King Air 350, and MU-2. So as far as the lag feeling extreme, I can’t say how real it is, but beta and reverse don’t seem to exist at all. I haven’t flown the SWS Kodiak in a long time but I thought reverse works on that. Maybe it’s Asobo’s problem? I know there are still quite a few of them.
  5. I can live with waiting on fine tuning the handling, as I have no problems with controlling it at all. What I really dislike is the engine characteristics. In comparison to the turboprops in XP12, (which are perfectly modeled), the black square king air comes the closest. I haven’t flown the piper M500 which I hear is very good. Without accurate throttle response, beta and reverse, it just breaks the immersion- but other than that, an excellent plane.
  6. I think the awesome scenery is fantastic, but until the fix a few major problems it's very frustrating to me. Two problems are the turboprop engine and prop performance, and the dark instrument panels drive me crazy. Are these basic problems fixed in the latest update???
  7. I just received my Bravo but can't get the software to install. It quits when it can't find X-Plane on my desktop. I have X-Plane on my D drive and it doesn't ask me where to find it. Is there something I am missing? I have no room for x-plane on my desktop. Thank you for any help. It seems like a previous version of this software asked where to find X-plane but this version I downloaded today just crashes after it can't find it.
  8. Yes, I figured that out, thank you. I have to program a few more joystick/throttle buttons so I don’t have to look down at the AP switch so often. I really love this plane!
  9. The avionics would be my main concern for this plane. If LR really includes an excellent Proline package, it would really be fantastic. The exterior visuals are very secondary for me. Toto’s 650 really raised the bar for this class of jet. It’s hard to know what to expect with a free default aircraft but grateful for the effort. Looking forward to XP12 for sure.
  10. I've been flying it for a day now and it's fantastic. It can be a handful at times and the startup procedure is still a bit confusing to me. It's a plane I always loved to just look at on the ramp. It could really use the GTN750 so hope it gets implemented soon, (although using the GNS530 still gets you to your destination). I do have a question for any of you MU-2 experts; I can't figure out how to set or change the VS or IAS in climbing or descending using the autopilot. I've tried the pitch knob but it doesn't seem to do anything.
  11. I do think it's time that X-Plane upgrade the G1000 to at least match what FS2020 and WT have done. LR seem to be perfectionists, so hopefully they realize the default G1000 is falling way behind. It would also be a huge push for people to upgrade to XP12.
  12. I’ve been using the GTN750 for a while now and love it in many of my planes. Last month I started flying in VR and am loving that too. But in my favorite AFL King Air, with dual GTN 750’s, I cannot operate the touch screens when in VR. Is there something I’m missing?
  13. No interest in airliners here. Love the small private twins and corporate turboprops best. Hope we keep seeing more of them with this quality!
  14. That is quite the setup! I too flew a 310 back in the late 80’s and think MILVIZ did a great job with this plane. However I think the real plane was easier to fly and land than the sim is. I don’t recall struggling with the trim in the real thing and constant hunting for nailing the airspeeds on approach like I am in FS. Could be I have to adjust the sensitivity on my controls to get it right.
  15. Could just be the sensitivity of your rudder/ NWS is set too high? Nose wheel steering being too aggressive is a common cause of problems on roll out in the sims for me. You beat me to it!
