How many DC3 has been announced for MSFS?

Featured Replies

As far I remember it was the AH project, rumors from PMDG and months ago someone claimed another one from other company.

I know there is an unofficial conversion of Manfred Jahn's C 47. But following his desire, I'll stay away from that version.

Anyone has tried to make a conversion from default FSX version?

I miss so much this plane (and the A2A C182... and a classic supercub... )

For officials announced versions I only know of the AH one.

Rumors have been circulating for a while that a big name dev is also working on a DC-3/C-47 but nothing official had come out that I'm aware of.

I know it's heresy but personally I'd prefer it if someone went a bit left-field and gave us a Basler BT-67 rather than a traditional DC-3.

The BT is just about all I flew for my last year in FSX, and the lack of a DC3/C47/BT67 in MSFS is the reason I haven't used it in over a month.

Just the AH one as far as I know, though some guy did start a rumour going about having inside knowledge of another one, but turned out to be BS.
Id love for a decent one to come to MSFS but regarding ASOBO doing one, I hope they dont because it would probably have the flight model of a Seneca and might make a decent Developer decide not to bother

Nah, it's actually a more contemporary and usable version. I'd be happy with one of those.

When talking about future projects such as the 777 and 747, recent PMDG videos have also mentioned 'something else in the works', and if I were a betting man, I'd put a few quid on the DC-3. The sales of the DC-6 pleasantly surprised them; I reckon they might capitalize on that, and produce another aircraft for which there is a huge demand. If they do so, I hope they include  the C-47. Imagine the repaints for that!

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Just to stir the PMDG pot, I noticed in recent web site article 737 release publicity that the intro static screenshot showed a DC-3 flying in from the bottom right,  which I thought was a bit odd.😃

(Actually its a Video front page for, "PMDG Operations Center & Liveries", on Fselite.net)
