Dumbing down

Are you not able to get it up and running once, and then save? That's what I do in P3D with the PMDG airliners. I just load the saved scenario, and then transfer the plane to the required airport. I am ready for pushback as soon as loading is complete.

Iย suspect because FBW assumes that people want to do the nap-inducing 20 minute drone to and from the runway manually.

You can start up the FBWA20N in like 5 minutes if you do it right. Thereโ€™s options in the EFB to speed it up, like havingย the nav computer to align instantly. Also you can still do Control + E on the FBW, and also start on the runway ready to go.

And no, they didnโ€™t deliberately prevent the co-pilot from taxiing, itโ€™s just a side effect of their custom auto pilot.

I used to feel just like you, but then I actually sat down and configured the plane how I wanted, and now I canโ€™t go back to that terrible default A320.

I can be in the air about 10 minutes from cold and dark. Depending on how far away the runway is.

You canโ€™t. MSFS doesnโ€™t properly save panel states.

You also canโ€™t move between airports inside a flight, at least not as easily as in P3D/FSX.

3PD can do custom panel state saving, however (the 737 will, for example), and FBW already said that this is on their list, too.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I agree. I don't find the A32NX to be particularly complex. For me part of the "fun" is learning the systems, flows and checklists - but it's perfectly fine to start up at the runway ready to go and hit full throttle.ย

I have to chuckle here - not at you only at your conundrum.ย  You purchased one of the most detailed addons to date - I mean for being an ancient non-glass plane hehe.

I'm positive you can get it started up though!ย  I don't have it but if you have 20 minutes or so there are some good youtube videos (10 minutes long here):ย ย https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WswokPHW0bI&ab_channel=RaizSpace
