SU9 lag spikes every 30 seconds

Open the console and take a look what the Sim Is doing when those lags happens

Usually Is when new objects/sceneries/Planes are loaded into memory

I seriously do not get it why there are still the same old advices all over this board when there are already numerous complaints about FPS loss since SU9.  The truth is SU9 has introduced a lot of issues and one of those are a severe loss of frames and stutters. You can check out the according thread in the official forum.

The thread has already more than 170 votes and Asobo is looking into those issues.

Because 'it's fine' for some people, as they like to point out :-D

The bottom line is the vast majority of MSFS users have no problems at all with FPS. 170 votes is a drop in the bucket compared too all the users that are happy with the way Su9 is working.

No one is talking about fps, they’re talking about frame timing mainly. Spikes, stutters, whatever you want to call them.

Oh and, based on previous voting over msfs forums, 170 is a hell of a lot. Shows it has traction.

Tell that to the Xbox crowd who have to draw a lottery ticket since SU9 whether they are able to complete a flight or go past the world map.

And if you are active on the MSFS forum you would know that 170 votes in 5 days is a lot nowadays. I am happy that everything is fine for you but the bottom line is, that SU9 introduced a lot of problems and the official Forum is drowning in complaints. So much that Asobo acknowledged those issues within one day after the patch was released.

He's describing intermittent drops every 30 seconds--this is not what is being reported in the thread which is mostly about consistent drop in frame rate/performance.  What he's describing sounds exactly like another process running in the background, etc.

This is completely correct.  At this very moment, on Steam alone, over 6000 users are online.  I would have to assume the number of Store users might be more, so maybe a total of 15,000+ users online at this moment.  Of the 170 a portion of those are reporting issues w/ Photogrammetry which preceded SU9.  Glad they're working on it, but this is not the sky is falling issue being described here for the vast majority, very thankfully.

And that is your issue right there 🙂

Ps there are only 73 votes since January 2021, for a working, good ATC system. Am I to assume that means out of the thousands online, that only 73 users care about it? I mean, I care about it, but I haven’t voted, for example.

Sure, I'll happily assume there are more MS Store users than Steam users but that's beside the point--beyond how many voted or didn't as a surrogate indicator for how many are having significant issues here's how respondents here voted.  And a portion of these also are going to be comprised of people affected by photogrammetry issues which preceded SU9:

Good evening guys
so after resetting the PC and reinstalling the game it seems like everything has been solved. No more lag even with some addons installed.
I have no idea on what caused the problem, probably something in the background was killing the cpu as every setting is unchanged in the game, NCP ecc.

Thank you for your help even if I had already tried most of the things ahahah

The only person missing the point is you. And I’ll leave it at that 🙂

That's cute Ian.  I'll leave you with this:  your cup is always < 1/10 full and you seem to enjoy wallowing in negative commentary about MSFS wherever you possibly can.  Back to the IU list you go...Bye Bye, whine on freely 🙃
